Working with local communities to preserve Sinai’s heritage.

Sinaweya - meaning “the Sinai way” in Arabic, is founded with the intent of safeguarding Sinai’s natural ecosystems and local communities by enabling them to revive their traditional knowledge in the areas of environmental and cultural heritage. Bedouin culture and spirituality are braided with a deep understanding of the environment - their conservation and knowledge of wild plants and animals that serve as their nutrition, crafts and healing agents are rooted in cultural practices that are slowly disappearing with modern life patterns. Our respect for their wisdom and hopes to preserve it is a driving force behind Sinaweya’s inception.
